Hurray... hurray...
It's a holi- holiday
Hurray hurray hurray hurray
It's a holi- holiday

It's holiday time again..... the mostly waited for round-the-peninsular trip!

We're leaving Kuala Lumpur to Pasir Puteh, then move on to Alor Setar before we return back to KL. All in all, I'll be away for a total of 10 days! There's a stop over at Dungun to visit Ms Rugby, visit to see the newborn of my long lost friend (whom I have not met since 1999), a cousin's wedding to attend (more of to become the "penanggah" i.e the northern's term for helpers during a wedding, of course lots and lots of food to eat, goodies to buy along the journey... not to forget 24 hours "power puff girls" to be managed .... (thank goodness there is an additional family member called "bibik")

But there's a lot of packing to be done:- a bag each i.e 5 bags to be packed, formulas, diapers, medications, cameras, food for the journey, water etc etc.. (err NO KUACI in my list????)

Anyway... Happy school holidays for all school kids out there, the teachers, and "busy-taking-leave" parents (like ME)..............

Note :
1. I may write during my holiday trips, if I remember to bring along my laptop with me... as I am tooooo excited about my trip already.....
2. To Che Aa... Thank you for taking care of our house while we are away!!! Opppsss... good luck with the Viva!
3. To Ms. Rugby - we will try to "not-to-forget" to visit you.... tungguuuuuu us this Monday okay!!!

Banyak-2, kadang-2, jarang-2, sedikit-2

Have you ever watch P.Ramlee's movie - Nujum Pak Belalang? If YES, remember the Quiz given by the minister as the Final Quiz to Pak Belalang?

What is it that we
1. mostly do (banyak-banyak)
2. sometimes do (Kadang-kadang)
3. once in a while do (Jarang-jarang)
4. very rarely do? (Sedikit-sedikit)

And the answer is marriage for the muslim - the men are allowed to have up to 4 wives at a time. NO, I am not to argue why they can do so OR why women cannot have many husbands.... what SexyMomma wrote today about her friend's divorce brought me back to my childhood life - of being the FIRST WIFE's kid.....This is my first confession - I have 2 step moms... who are also great moms to their kids....

YES, many have asked me.... how can I still have that love and care for my dad despite what has happened. I only have one answer..... I THANK GOD for giving me a strong mom who continuously educates my siblings and I to always respect my father no matter what.

"Unless you can erase your father's name from your birth certificate, he is forever your dad. Don't you ever go against him, make him sad or ignore him, for I will not allow you to do so. And if you do, you can forget about going to HEAVEN for you have done something against my order... your MOM"

That's is all what my mom has to say...........

The Exam - mine or the kids?

I was reading Ina's entry on her quest to get a pet for her sons..... and her anxiety over her son's exam made me realised that I am also behaving/responding the same way. This week is Adilah (7 yrs old) and Adlina (4 yrs old) exam week at their schools. And I think I am going a bit over the board asking them to do revision! I mean, Adilah knows the value of getting 100% vs getting 80%. But Adlina? She is still drinking her chocolate milk in her cup every night! What was I thinking?

After all, they are kids, thus they are entitled to make mistake, coz that's how they can learn... right? Nevertheless, I think it is my responsibility as a parent, to create the fun learning environment with them at home, so that they enjoy the revision with me (of course there will be a lot of screaming and argument, knowing for fact that Baby Adriana who is just 15 months old, will also be doing the revision session)....

This also means I am not going to be able to have a good "rest" this week.... coz I'll be working also at night.... which reminds me... WHERE IS THE FATHER???

Tears....

I was reading KuE's blog and I was so touched by her entry about Puteri's cry.

YES, there are times when I am angry with my girls and I scold my kids, and I make them cry. But certainly, I'm still the one who is going to console them and make them laugh again! In the process of growing up, tears play a big role in a child's life, especially the girls..

Here's my personal collection of lists as to why GIRLS cry (this list is in time order):
1. when she lost an item and she can't find it
2. someone touch her dolls/toys
3. mom doesn't wait for her to tag along
4. daddy forgot that chocolate/ice-cream he promised
5. she got her first period
6. the guy that she admire at school is moving away!
6. when she look at the mirror and "Oh no, I've pimples and the party is tonite!"
7. when her boyfriend left her for her best friend!
8. she's getting married!
9. she's in labour pain
10. she held her first child
11. her first child is getting married
12. her first grandchild is borned

and the list goes on and on ..................

And yet so many motivators says that if you need to cry, you just CRY. Coz tears indeed is the strongest medicine! Don't you agree??

Is she right?

I received this article from my sister, Che Aa:

"It is a commitment that should last a lifetime, but an increasing number of Malaysians are opting for divorce when problems crop up in their marriage. NURRIS ISHAK examines this disconcerting trend. WHILE many couples are busy tying the knot, an increasing number are just as busy untying it. About 150,060 couples took marital vows in 2004. In the same year, 19,800 divorce cases were recorded, an increase of 4,561 cases compared with 2000. Statistics from the National Population and Family Development Board (NPFDB) show that the divorce rate is highest among Muslims, with 16,509 couples going their separate ways in 2004. One reason for the rising trend is that the current generation places more importance on self and is more open to the concept of divorce. Another is the demise of the extended family, especially in urban areas. " - adapted from New Straits Times dated 18 May 2006 -

Another article that she discovered on the same day,

"................ MORE Malaysians are opting to delay marriage, with most tying the knot around the age of 29 for men, and 25 for women. "Right now, 27 per cent of the population between the ages of 25 and 34 are single," said National Population and Family Development Board director-general Datuk Fatimah Saad. Most cite financial problems, inability to find the right partner and career advancement as the causes for the delay. "

She asked me this question:

"Am i one of these culprits????? Akukah yang bersalah??? married couples sila jawab"

We used to debate about this many many times (my sister, she's single by the way). But for once, TODAY, I don't have an answer to her. Is she wrong for wanting to pursue her studies? Is she wrong for not having a boyfriend yet? Is she wrong for not wanting to start a relationship with just "anyone", but rather wait for the "Mr. Right" to come? I try to find an answer but I find none.......

Happy Mother's Day

A dedication of love & thank you to all mothers out there, especially my mom:

Your cheerful smile and friendly face
Has made the world a better place for me
Your kind hearts are the garden
Your kind thoughts are the roots
Your kind words are the flowers
And
Your kind deeds are the fruits
To make me a better person
And
For that I have you to thank for
Happy Mother's Day

8 years together.....

Today is our 8th wedding anniversary. Thank you for the gift, I really like it - not going to share that here... and I know Azhan may not be reading this, but I still want to write a special note to him:

What I know is that
It takes years to build trust and a few seconds to destroy it
What I believe is that
Do not marry a person that you know you can live with;
Only marry someone you cannot live without
What I will do is that
I will love you as I always love you before
And may our marriage is to last forever!
Happy 8th Anniversary!

Head of Domestic Affairs

This entry is specially dedicated to my fellow home maker friends out there, who has sacrificed everything to be with their children, devote their time, effort, energy, mind and money for the family. I would like to acknowledge some names here, Dina (she was the one who trigger this entry), Meeyn (in Abu Dhabi), Cory( in Miri), Yucilia (in Seremban), Shirlina (in Kota Kinabalu) and Amy (in Kertih).

Never ever feel that what you do is not a career. It is beyond a CAREER!!!! Thus, you also deserve to have coffee with your friend (regardless whether they're working or not).... If I were to refer to the book of conduct of a home maker, we're talking about
24 hours a day x 7 days a week x 52 weeks a year x your life as a mother

How can it not be important if you spent that much of time in your life? Given the opportunity, I would also like to be one. But of course a long list of "things to be done" must be done first before I can safely & happily sacrifice everything to be a home maker.....
a. My hubby can afford it
b. Basic necessity is ready for us
c. I am mentally & physically ready
d. We have the blessing of both his & my parents!

It is always a hard decision for a lady to step down from that "working environment" and stay home forever. I know it's not easy for you guys to make the decision.... Coz this is what your "more often than not" office routine shall be like,
1. making the bed every morning
2. prepare breakfast
3. sweep the floor
4. do the laundry
5. prepare lunch
6. help with the school homework
7. prepare afternoon tea
8. bring the kids to the playground
9. get dinner ready
10. reading bed time story
11. do some ironing
12. plan for tomorrow's chores
13. wake up in the middle of the night to change diapers and then make warm milk
14. to wake up first in the morning,
and the whole routines begin again......

Sounds like you're trap in the jungle with no escape way! (The most that I personally have time to do every working day is only no 1, 2, 4, 6, 11, 13) Where could you possibly be heading by making such a big decision? The ultimate destination - heaven....... for being that tender, loving, caring, passionate & patience mother, and most of all - for always be there for your children!

If that is not a job, then I don't know what is! I respect all the home makers out there for the principles they uphold! To my friends out there, if ever you need a break from your "office" routine, you can call me!

Quote................ on MAS again.............

MAS losses was caused by its management, not because its route could not make money. If we have made-in-Malaysia biscuits but they bought biscuits from Australia, how to make money?
- Jasin MP, Datuk Mohd Said Yusof -

"At the Dewan Rakyat, The Sun, 27th Apr 2006"

How do you suggest I respond to this statement, as an employee of MAS for 9 years and 2 months?? Anyway, I believe in our new MD, En. Idris Jala. His very first statement when he was about to join MAS is that "The key to business turnaround lies in unleashing the talents of everyone in MAS!

To all MAS employee out there, which ever part of the globe you're located, let us all unleash our talents & capabilities to allow us to continue to spread our wings all across 6 continents!

Happy Labour Day (01 MAY 2006) to all my colleagues in MAS, everyone who is an employee, and bloggers out there.....

Am not an evil.... So what is my soul?

Was checking if I am evil and I found out that:

You Are 8% Evil

You are good. So good, that you make evil people squirm.
Just remember, you may need to turn to the dark side to get what you want!

Then I started to look for what is my soul and I found out that:

You Are a Peacemaker Soul

You strive to please others and compromise anyway you can.
War or conflict bothers you, and you would do anything to keep the peace.
You are a good mediator and a true negotiator.
Sometimes you do too much, trying so hard to make people happy.

While you keep the peace, you tend to be secretly judgmental.
You lose respect for people who don't like to both give and take.
On the flip side, you've got a great sense of humor and wit.
You're always dimplomatic and able to give good advice.

Souls you are most compatible with: Warrior Soul, Hunter Soul and Visionary Soul

So anyone out there who is compatible to me? Of course Azhan comes in the picture without say. Drop me a line okay......

Soal Hati .... Heart Feeling

I begin my Friday morning listening to a typical story of a husband and wife, who in the midst of their conversation, get into an argument. More often than not, we will hear this same lines:

- Malay version - @ -English version -
Person A: "...... kena jawab dah dituduh...." "... must argue if being accused..."
Person B: "...... cakap sekali cukup la...." "... a mention is enough....."
Person A: "...... kecik hati tau...." "... make me feel small...."
Person B: " ..... dah kecik hati, duduk diam diam ...." ".... if so, just be quiet....."
Person A: " ..... kenapa kena diam?" ".... why must be quiet?"
Person B: silence
Person A: silence

What would you do if you face similar situation as above?
1. Do you feel angry?
2. Do you feel like you want to retaliate?
3. Will you be crying?
4. I will tell him/her "let's settle this once and for all"...
5. I'm just going to keep quite (not pushing my luck)!
6. Start to say "What the @$#%&8*#^().... "on and on and on....

I think, personally, what ever that you decide to do..... just remember the few golden rules of a marriage-
1. No matter what, he loves you / she loves you still
2. It's easy to break a marriage but it's hard to fix a broken one
3. It's all begin from the heart so always go back to the heart

Happy weekend to all!

Note:
1. This entry is a special dedication to friends who are about to join the boat of "marriage life" - Mariam, Elza and Melanie....... wishing you all a happy, wonderful and blessful marriage.
2. I have experienced this similar situation too, and I thank Allah, for the "so far so good"...!

To Be or not To Be............ The busy 5 bees

To Be - a successful career women you must be

3. courageous (to serve the company best)
4. determine (to ensure your work is with quality and added value)
5. open minded (to be creative in doing your job)

To Be - a successful working wife you must be
1. very smart (depend on your definition of smart)
2. very patience (especially to deal with the long working hours)
3. very courageous (to handle all the possible office gossips...)
4. very determine (to be able to still go to work no matter what happen)

After 15 years........

Today, after 15 years of school life, I finally met my friends again - Normaziah and Fatihah..... my ex-MRSM friends.... Wow... don't we all changed?? We talk.. and talk.. and talk... from food, to work, to family, to school days, buying property, etc etc.... seems like 2 hours friday afternoon break is too short of a time... I'm soooooo happy..

Normaziah is actually next to my office - she's with UNITAR (she's with Business Studies faculty.... Leilanie, do you happen to know her?). What a small world huh??!! Fatihah is doing so well with her Takaful Nasional... so friends, if you need an insurance coverage, let me know.....

By the way - I need to ask you guys something...... How do you feel if you have to conduct a formal classroom training and your other half is a participants ...... Azhan is gonna be in my class....... can I remain professional about this? How weird can life be?? ARGHHH.... And then I realised, could this be another test from ALLAH s.w.t??

15 March 2006

Let the chain continues................

Friends, I just have this to share for today.....

He almost didn't see the old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.

Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you. He said, 'I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson."

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, "And think of me."

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. she had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan.

After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin. There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: "You don't owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you." Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day.

That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard. She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, "Everything's gonna be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson."

There is an old saying "What goes around comes around." Today, I sent you this story, and I'm asking you to pass it on ... Let this light shine.

Good friends are like stars....You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

Have You Ever Feel It?

Have you ever feel that suddenly God is answering to all your prayers? Could it be because of your good doings? Could it be that he's testing you? How do we know which is what? I continue to ponder when:

1. Izzie - a bloghopper drop by my blog yesterday and lead me to a world of discovery... Could it be the one I've been looking for? Only time will tell.. I have to continue blog-digging to find the hidden answer.....

2. Adilah's Pizza craving - She was craving for Pizza when we visited my parents-in-law 2 weeks ago... So I thought, why not, since it's the family get-together daya anyway... So Azhan (my hubby) drove me to the Pizza Hut and while waiting for the Pizza to be ready in 15 mins, I asked him, "if you don't mind, can you drive me to the bank to draw some cash?".. A simple "No problem" as an answer - and there was Jaa @ Hasliza..... an ex-MRSM friend since we're 13 yrs old!!!!!! Of course all the usual "Lama nye tak jumpa.. Tinggal kat mana? Anak dah berapa?"... Exchanging hp numbers and email address.... etc etc.... What a perfect way to end my weekend!!

3. Work Obstacle - my project team at work has this issue with regard to new directives and how to align ourselves to it..... No clue, don't know what is going on at the upper level....This has been going on for more than 2 months!! then a "knight in shinning armor" happened to drop by and share some leads with us.. and wallaaaa...problem solved!! Hmmmmm.....

Why does all these beautiful things happen to me now? What have I done to deserve this? Or is this a test to see how would I thank God in return? Do you know? Can you tell me?

Somehow... deep in my heart, I know that is the greatness of God's unlimited power and we should forever be thankful for whatever he has given!
(Jauh di sudut hati, aku mengakui itulah kebesaran kuasa Tuhan yang tiada batasan dan kita seharusnya terus bersyukur di atas segala kurniaan dariNya.)

Note : Tomorrow is Adriana's FISRT birthday.... Happy birthday my cutie pie! May Allah bless you always!

I really have no idea... anyone who read this, may attempt to write, if they can spare the time.

Now, on to the questions!

What were you doing ten years ago?
I was in Adelaide, struggling to complete my final year in Univ. Many of the times, broke (only depended on monthly allowance from JPA)... but I thanked Allah for giving the strength, and will to face all challenges. Allah's greatest gifts to me back then was:
1. my family support and love
2. my friends support and love
3. my boyfriend support and love ( of course Azhan, like I said, he's my only boyfriend on earth!!)

What were you doing one year ago?

1. Dari Kekasih utk kekasih (somehow I like the facial expression by Hattan when Mawi inadvertantly forgot the lyrics of the song....)

3. The theme song (by Amy MAstura) for "Mya Zara" - soap on TV3 (Tue-Thu 1030-11 pm).. I just love Ako & Eja....
4. Now & Forever (I think by Richard Marx)... errr.. kind of my personal song.. I like it!
5. the theme song for Pontianak harum Sundal Malam 2, by Misha Omar...

Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:
1. Complete all my duty as a muslim
2. Donate to all orphanage
3. Build big house that can accomodate all my beloved grandparents, mom & dad and from Azhan's side too.
4. Save for my kids' wedding - I have 3 girls you know!!!
5. Create a personal loan institution, interest-free, for single mother in need to borrow.

Five bad habits:
1. easily jump into conclusion, but this happen only with my hubby.... why????
2. Moody during my "female bad days" of the month
3. I like to clean up my sinki quickly, sometimes my mom still is using the blender, but I have washed it!
4. Fall for desert (esp. chocolate, ice-cream and cakes) easily............
5. can't stop talking once I start, esp. when I am excited about something!

Five things you like doing:
1. Singing alone, just for myself to hear
2. Hand wash my own clothes
3. Throw things that is "junk" in my list
4. Cat-fight with my kids
5. Meet friends over lunch or tea....

Five things you would never wear, buy, or get new again:
1. Push-up bra... already size 38 what....!!
2. Short maternity Gown - I look like a penguin in one!!
3. Night-use sanitary pad without wing...
4. Tight pants ... I have big bum and thigh
5. Shoes with heels more that 1.5 inches.

Five favorite toys:
1. at work - my laptop
2. at home - my kitchen (I try to be domestic when I can)
3. Credit cards of course, in case I'm out of cash
4. Handphone - to SMS when I'm bored in a queue esp.
5. my car - keep me mobile when required.

Tha's about all I have to say... Bye for now!

MOVIES ANYONE??

Most of us love to watch movies (at home or in cinema) or play. Many wrote about Memoirs of Geisha, Pride & Prejudice, Narnia, Baik Punya Cilok, Buli Balik etc... etc..

Have you ever realise that your life is also a movie.. and you're the actor, the director, the script writer, the music coordinator, the editor, etc etc etc...?? YES, we are all that.

Everyday we act and play all these role..... sometimes we like the role, sometimes we hate it. There are times when we feel like murdering or strangle some people who we think do us wrong - but have we try to take a mirror and reflect on what we have done instead? Most of the time, we will say "they are wrong", "you are wrong", "he/she is wrong". Seldom we say "I am/was wrong", what more to easily say "I'm sorry".

I've learned the hard way to remember to always do "self reflection"... most of the time, from my lovely three angels at home and my beloved hubby (AND THAT IS AFTER DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE most of the time). They're my mirror....... what about you???

Today, I've giving you a "mirror" as a token of friendship...... hopefully this mirror will help you to find what you're looking for......

Reunion BBQ....

I have joined my company since 21st Feb 1997.. less than 2 months after I graduated. And I have stayed with the company ever since... Why I'm so loyal & committed to this company? Becoz it belongs to all Malaysian!

And last Saturday, 21st Jan 2006, I had a reunion - of by trainee batch, recruited the same day as I am.. Almost all turned up, except for some who has other prior engagement. I really really am sad, though, coz I can't take any photos... my digital camera was "so called not function"... MY girls..... I am just speechless!!!

There was Rizal, of course, my beloved buddy whom I knew since uni days.. still single, don't know if he's looking for a candidate or not... Oh, and he never failed us... he did came with his chocolate moist cake - from Secret Recipe!

Then came Nynna + Hubby (Azley) with daughters Aisyah & Amina.. Aisyah takes after Nynna & Amina is just like Azley... what a good split! Your fruit pudding is nice, considering it was all gone!!

Followed by Leilanie + Hubby (Fariz).. she is as cute and "vogue" as ever. Fariz is such a gentleman!

Then came Suhaimi with his son Asif.... Shaida (his wife) has jus been released from hospital... so he's kind "solo" with a son tagging along!! hahaha... Asif reminds me of the "young" Suhaimi!!!! And Asif won't let go of his marble cheese cake (also from Secret Recipe) until we sang him a happy birthday song!!! That was errr... don't know how many time already I sang that song for this day!

Was it Tarina (the lady pink riding hood) who came with her basket full of ..... (don't want to say here, as Tarina will jump!)

OR WAS IT

Eddie and wife (Jehan) who came short after... Anyway, Nurin looks just like Eddie... so Jehan, try again! Oh and Jehan, we love your pudding!

Lastly Azib came with his newborn, 52 days old sweet boy... Azib was such a great dad, trying my massage chair with all his three kids on his lap!! Hmmmmm.... need to learn from his wife how does she do that!!

We miss Yusaini & family (he has a pair of twin girls), Dila & family, and also Freida & family. But we remember you guys..... !!

I was very tired, no doubt. But I'm happy to see everyone again.. to laugh over the old jokes, gossips in the company, latest development plan etc... So NEXT session shall be at..... hmmmm.... time will tell. Till then, on behalf of Azhan, Adilah, Adlina, Adriana & me, THANKS FOR COMING!!!!

Abortion... Where goes the Human Values?

Dear Friends,

I know the pictures or photos that I have posted are not the kind of pictures that people want to see/view. But I just had to push myself to write on this. How human values has changed (and we're all guilty at charge in some way or another to allow for this to happen).

These pictures were taken by crew of a local TV station in M'sia. This is a view in a "bilik mandi mayat" Masjid Pusara Aman in Singapore. I quote portion of the email here (that I have received together with these photos) , sorry it's in Malay Language but I don't have the heart to translate - I am so so taken back.......

"Kesemua janin, Melayu/Islam itu baru saja diambil pegawai Persatuan Derma Amanah Muslimin (MTFA) dari tiga buah hospital setempat. Hospital Wanita dan Kanak-kanak Kandang Kerbau (KKH), Hospital Besar Singapura (SGH)dan Hospital Universiti Nasional (NUH). Janin-janin itu tidak dituntut oleh ibu yang mengandungkan mereka selepas menjalani
pengguguran di hospital- hospital tersebut."

I'm sorry, if I ever offend any Singaporean/or muslim for that matter. I'm preety sure this also happens in other countries....

I just want to share the lesson that I've learned from this email........

I want to always be thankful for what God (Allah) has given me. And I truly am sorry for whatever wrongdoing that I have done before as a Muslim, a daughter, a wife, a mother, a friend etc etc etc....... May Allah always guide me to the right path!

Latest Software - Check it out!!

Have heard of this term "big boys toys"?? Sure you have. A friend once told me that computer softwares really gets her hubby's attention. So I though why not, let me just share with you how a software user has difficulties and seek advise from Tech Support. Have fun reading!

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into
all other programs and now monitors all other system activity. Applications such as PokerNight 10.3, Football 5.0, Hunting and Fishing 7.5, and Racing 3.6 no longer run, crashing the system whenever selected. I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite application. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0. Please help!

Thanks,
A Troubled User

Reply:

Dear Troubled User,

This is a very common problem about which men are complaining. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program.

Wife 1.0 an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0. It is impossible to uninstalled, or purge the program files from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to NOT allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warning-Alimony/Child Support. I recommend that you keep Wife 1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background Application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software argumentation. The best course of action is to enter the command C;\APOLOGIZE because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway.

Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5, and Do Bills 4.2. However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0!

WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstance, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system.

Best of luck,
Tech Support

Cancer - A tribute to Rayu Amy's mother

A moment of silence for Rayu Amy's mother, who passed away this morning around 9 am. Al-fatihah.......

She was another long-suffering patient of cancer... in 1992/1993 Rayu's mom used to come to her room over the weekend (when we did our foundation study together). She brought food with her, cleaned the place, made jokes and gave advise. I used to join the crowd when possible.

Looking at Rayu is just like looking at her mom. As I always know her.. the most caring, loving daughter who without fail, will always be there for her mother. After her dad passed away about 8 months ago (due to heart attack), Rayu is everything to her mom.

The pain of losing both parents are just not ....... I have no word to describe the feeling of what Rayu is going through now.. Rayu is now left behind (I thank Allah for Rayu still have her young wonderful kids, Danial & Tina and beloved hubby) to be on her own.....

Rayu, I wish for Allah to give you strength and wisdom to continue with your future...... If you ever need a friend, you know how to reach me....

This message is also dedicated to the late
1. Pn. Nik Rosney Hayati - my Maths teacher, 1989-1991
2. Kak Nik Adibah - a very respectful student leader, 1987
Who also left behind their beloved ones due to CANCER.. may Allah placed them among the blessed ones.

Looking forward to a better year - 2006!

Good evening,

I was reading through this blog of wongahbeng and seriously you guys should read his post on "bloginson-syndrome". There is some truth in his writing, so Ah Beng (I think I like to call you with that name), thanks for the tips!

To ensure that I am not getting any virus from the syndrome, my brain has been telling me to keep to the objective of me writing a blog... to share with people as much as I can!

So my end of sharing for this week:

Life is like a mail, sometimes you just don't get it!

But

The world is like a mirror, if you face it smiling, it smiles right back!

So

Don't be afraid to open up your eyes so you can see tomorrow......

And remember that

The most wasted of all days, is one without laughter!

Have a good weekend to all!

Pantang Orang Melayu

I have received such a great news - a dear friend, Zare, is now pregnant! She has been waiting for so long...and I am so happy for her.... so as a caring friend, I have shared with her some tips of how to take care of her self during her maternity leave...

And since I have blogger friends who may benefit from it, so I thought... why not, share this with the world!! Here it goes...

(Pantang - A Malay word for maternity period of 0-60 days)

My Main Food intake during Pantang are:

1. Dinner & Lunch
------------------
a. White Rice
b. Baked fish (kembung, tenggiri or cencaru) with salt, tumeric, ketumbar and jintan..
(sorry, too lazy to find the English name for the two spices )
c. Lettuce with Tau-Foo - boiled with only water, salt, red onion, garlic & pepper
d. after the 30 days of giving birth, then I get steam skinless chicken with garlic & ginger

2. Breakfast & Tea
--------------------
a. whole meal bread - toast or just like that with milk, horlick or milo
b. Cream craker biscuit - high fibre low salt, plain only - dip in the above drinks (2a)
c. Boiled water of mixed tree and herb roots (Akar kayu laaaa)

No fruits for me, as both my mom & my mom in law thinks that it's bad for my nerves (Sejuk la makan buah, tak baik untuk urat)

You think that's bad...? Imagine this... Azhan (I love you still) will make sure my maid will monitor my eating during this confinement period..... and all my maids (before, and present) are Javanese from Indonesia.... who's waist are smaller than my eldest, Adilah....

So that's it... I have a bottle neck!! But I am proud to say that I can still fit in the clothes when Adilah was not even born yet (okay, okay, so I'm not a beauty queen, but at least I don't have to crack my head to get a new wardrobe after every delivery)...... so if you want to maintain your figure... Pantang is good for you!

To Zare, best wishes to you in 2006.

To all mum-to-be out there, stay calm & cool!

To all father-to-be... please behave and be nice to your expecting wife!

21 December 2005

New year - 2006 around the corner!

It's been very long since I last wrote.. Guess what? I have found another long lost friend, actively blogging as well - Annamox. And for this, I have KuE and Leilanie to thank for.. I really loves this friendship chains!

Since new year is about to come, maybe it's just right to share some motivation words that I have received from a cousin of mine...

2006 Motivation Phrases
Pursue achievable goals
• Keep a genuine smile
• Share with others
• Help your neighbours
• Maintain a youthful spirit
• Get along with the rich, the poor, the beautiful & the ugly

• Keep cool under pressure
• Lighten the atmosphere with humour
• Forgive the annoyance of others
• Have few pals
• Cooperate and reap greater rewards
• Treasure every moment with your loved ones

I do hope that everyone will find their happiness, success and what-ever they are looking for next year.

As I have not been able to keep in touch with some special people, I would like to say my words to them here (hopefully my blog will be view by some and spread the friendship chain)

They are:
1. Najmiah Khaiessa, my sis who stays in UK... I do hope that one day you'll decide to return to work in M'sia... our father really miss you!

2. Shirlina Shaari @ Angah, a dear friend when I was in MRSM... How are you? I really really miss you. Hope your 3 kids are okay (or is it 4 kids now?). Just to let you know that Usu @ Noriah is now married and she is expecting!

3. Farah Alwani Dusuki , a dear friend too ( known her since MRSM days, and went abroad together.. how are you doing? I have never met you since we returned to M'sia. I know you're happily married... got that info from an ex-AA friend of yours. Please keep in touch through our Ausmat net group!

4. Nor Azmira Abdullah, Mek Yah Said, Fauziah Shafie, Nik Roslin Suriati & Tik Shaiza - from MRSM days, where are you guys???

5. Norhishami Ibrahim (Shami) & Mohd Khuluki (Ki) Mustapha - from standard One in SRK Kamil (1), don't know why but lately I kept on thinking about the two of you. Ki, are you still with Telekom? Shami, heard that your mom passed away... so sorry to hear that.... Keep strong okay girl!

I am wishing that I could just go back in time before and meet everyone again. I know that is not possible and thus I am hoping that through blogspot, my wish will come true!

Merry X'mas and Happy New year to all!
