Pros & Cons of Driving - A wife cum working mother insight

DRIVING - something that can be a profession to some, taboo to others and dangerous hobby to many. What ever driving is to you, let me share my insight of the pros and cons of driving to me.....

Driving is a must when........

1. someone is sick, especially the loved ones (to go to hospital, to visit them etc)

2. hubby is not home and the gas is out!

3. we run out of supply at home (from rice right to diapers)!

4. to fetch someone (can be sister from university, or hubby at work, or friend at the bus stop, or mum at the airport) in need of transportation

5. attending to work obligation (like travel away from base, attending meetings etc)

Driving is not a skill you wish to have when........

1. "Oh, I don't know the way. You've been there, why don't you drive?".... this can typically come from friends, family, even hubby!

2. " You can go by yourself right?".... you know who always say this!

3. "Mom, can we get this ....., please? Please?".... the "sweet & driving me mad" angels

4. "I got something on. Can you replace me?".. from a superior most of the time

But what I like about driving is - it gives me the priviledge to be flexible with time and creates opportunity for me to excel in life and contributes to family & friends, work and the society.

So think about it - Do you want to DRIVE??

Last Entry for 2007

There are a lot of things that has happened in the year 2007. I am very sure many of us has experienced a lot of changes, adaptation, adjustment, tolerating, pushing, giving etc.

As for me, I started the year by commencing my MSc, then being put to take charge of a unit at work, followed by hubby decided to start his own business. Many additional family members also comes into the pictures - welcome to newborn Irfan, Amirah and Imran. There is a cousin's son was born sometimes this year, but I am yet to meet him! Also a warm welcome to Syed Akmal, my new brother in law.

So 2007 resolution - achieved? Yep, sure did... Alhamdulillah. The family health & development, a good job, acceptable grades, a good start for the business, I can't ask for more.

2008 resolution? A long list to state. Enough if I were to summarise it this way... I'll do my best and hope to become stronger and wiser in facing more challenges to come. May Allah be with me.

To my angels, thank you for always taking my pain and sorrow away, and bring me laughter and happiness. I will always be loving you three!
To my beloved Hubby - what else can I say?? May we always be together for each other.
To my family and friends (you know who you are), thank you, thank you & thank you...

Reunion of Mamas!

(Standing from left: Shu, Dib, Kimi, Azli, Hana, Zeck, Rhayo, Kak Leha, Zare, Dina, Zila.
Sitting from left: Maie, Intan, Adilah (my eldest girl) and Naju - the house owner)

15 YEARS ago, there were 14 ladies, who happened to be stranded together at one learning institution. They have laughed, cried, went crazy with sweat, tears and pain together to survive the 1.5 yrs of foundation study.

Nights and days passes by, years after years, and now look at them.... surrounded with the little ones, not to mention "those on the way, to be delivered next year!" Bravo ladies, bravo!

To all the mamas above - I enjoyed our get-together so much, I wish we could do more of this. I may not be the first to confirm to come, but I sure did participated!! Forget me not the next time, ok!

To other mamas who are not in KL, or cannot make it, we missed you guys!!

What do I miss in life?

If you ask me what I need now, my answer would be : a bowl of porridge like a bove would be nice!! I am starving to death!!

Juts want to acknowledge that Adilah, my eldest girl, made me this birthday card in Aug 2007. Only now I managed to upload it here.... simply because - me too busy doing DON't KNOW WHAT.

And as of now, I miss my three angels! Waaaaaaa.....

HR Raya Day

How do you like to get an SOS message at 7 am on Sunday Morning?? This kind of SMS normally requires you to have "to use your charm" and get things done. My dept issue - to get our cupcakes for HR Raya (eid) Day. Thanks to Rozie, my neighbour, our 70 pieces of cupcakes is now ready for me to bring to the office! Fuhhhhh what a relief!

The cup cakes for your viewing only.... I am so so sorry.... no tasting on the web!

Enquiries & Order call/SMS to Rozie 012 2904131. Just mention that you know Rozie's Homemade Pastry from Kimi.

For those who love green plant, I have my new baby in my office:

Big Day is near the corner!

My dear friends and family,

I would like to ask all of you, to pray for my health and safety, for me to undergo my final exam for this semester at my uni on 29th Oct and 2nd Nov 2007. Do wish me the best of luck ok.

Till the 2nd Nov is over, I have no intention to do Eid's open house, nor am I allowed to do Eid's visiting etc. (as my brain has temporary shut down the "socialising" chapter).

Coz I'm leaving, on the jet plane,
Don't know when I'll be back again,
Oh babe I have to go......

Housewife

A friend, Meen, reminded me of why I should consider to be a housewife. When I ponder on that idea, I realise the beauty & power in the word "housewife".

H - Home is never the same without her around
O - Only she knows where "everything" is!
U - Uniform is never their concern
S - Someone who is always there 24/7/365, no public holiday gazetted for them!
E - Empathise no matter with who, when, why, where, or what
W - Willingly doing multi-tasking!
I - In love with domestic affairs
F - Fun, tender and loving (TLC) - you can expect this from them lifetime
E - Every husband dream of having one!!!!!!

So to all housewife out there, keep up the excellent job!

Salhi Khaiessa is found!

My dear friends and concern readers from everywhere,

I am sorry for the late update. But my brother Salhi has been found early last month. We have brought him back safely to his former hospital. He's still undegoing his treatment. We don't know if he can join us for the Hari Raya Puasa i.e Eid Fitri.

For all the best wishes and Doa, on behalf of my family, we thanks each and everyone of you. May Allah blessed you all.

21 August 2007

HELLO - is it me you looking for??

Do you know that a simple HELLO can be a sweet one? Especially if you get a HELLO from your loved ones. HELLO is:

H= How are you?
E= Everything all right?
L= Like to hear from you
L = Love to see you soon..... (fellow blogger/friends that I used to have lunch dates with)
O = Obviously I miss you.......

So HELLO and have a good day!

ps: This is a sincere HELLO from me, for being so silent these days... so many things has happened in life that I just don't know where to begin, enough to say that - Nothing is more important than family!

Marriage - A short word and yet a big word

MARRIAGE - is it as simple as eating a piece of chewing gum?

M - Man is made for his woman
A - and a woman is made for his man
R - relationship that they have is so special that
R - regardless the "challenges" faced, they work to make it a permanent contract
I - it changes people's life, focus and energy
A - a reality that can be sweet or sour, joyfull or full of sorrow
G - get a good circle of supporters (family, friends and relatives) and
E - every minutes of MARRIAGE will be a treasure.

This dedication is to my newly wed sister, have a wonderful and blessful marriage!

A whole new world

A whole new world...... a world that I once dream to be in... and now I am in the dream world... yes, i like this world, i enjoy to be in this world and i know this world extract the best in me.....

BUT i miss blogging because of this world!

What I am trying to say is... i miss writing entries here... I owe a few people some tags - i think KuE, DNAS & Leilanie... friends, I apologise if ever I let you down... not intentionally done... will get it done!

And I think I need to explain to everyone why I was blocking my blog for sometimes now... I was disturbed with the fact that some personal information may be used by "the-cold-hearted-business-focus-people-in-this-world" against me and my family.

So I guess, I will have to change my direction of writing here... I will write for my friends... I will write about the world... I will write about religion maybe.. but no more about my family.... maybe just a touch base story, to keep "certain people abroad" posted about us..

To start with, this is a dedication to Rose, for the kind thought - I handed over her gift from CK and she gave me this in return:

Thank you Rose!
