Last Entry for 2007

There are a lot of things that has happened in the year 2007. I am very sure many of us has experienced a lot of changes, adaptation, adjustment, tolerating, pushing, giving etc.

As for me, I started the year by commencing my MSc, then being put to take charge of a unit at work, followed by hubby decided to start his own business. Many additional family members also comes into the pictures - welcome to newborn Irfan, Amirah and Imran. There is a cousin's son was born sometimes this year, but I am yet to meet him! Also a warm welcome to Syed Akmal, my new brother in law.

So 2007 resolution - achieved? Yep, sure did... Alhamdulillah. The family health & development, a good job, acceptable grades, a good start for the business, I can't ask for more.

2008 resolution? A long list to state. Enough if I were to summarise it this way... I'll do my best and hope to become stronger and wiser in facing more challenges to come. May Allah be with me.

To my angels, thank you for always taking my pain and sorrow away, and bring me laughter and happiness. I will always be loving you three!
To my beloved Hubby - what else can I say?? May we always be together for each other.
To my family and friends (you know who you are), thank you, thank you & thank you...

Reunion of Mamas!

(Standing from left: Shu, Dib, Kimi, Azli, Hana, Zeck, Rhayo, Kak Leha, Zare, Dina, Zila.
Sitting from left: Maie, Intan, Adilah (my eldest girl) and Naju - the house owner)

15 YEARS ago, there were 14 ladies, who happened to be stranded together at one learning institution. They have laughed, cried, went crazy with sweat, tears and pain together to survive the 1.5 yrs of foundation study.

Nights and days passes by, years after years, and now look at them.... surrounded with the little ones, not to mention "those on the way, to be delivered next year!" Bravo ladies, bravo!

To all the mamas above - I enjoyed our get-together so much, I wish we could do more of this. I may not be the first to confirm to come, but I sure did participated!! Forget me not the next time, ok!

To other mamas who are not in KL, or cannot make it, we missed you guys!!

What do I miss in life?

If you ask me what I need now, my answer would be : a bowl of porridge like a bove would be nice!! I am starving to death!!

Juts want to acknowledge that Adilah, my eldest girl, made me this birthday card in Aug 2007. Only now I managed to upload it here.... simply because - me too busy doing DON't KNOW WHAT.

And as of now, I miss my three angels! Waaaaaaa.....

HR Raya Day

How do you like to get an SOS message at 7 am on Sunday Morning?? This kind of SMS normally requires you to have "to use your charm" and get things done. My dept issue - to get our cupcakes for HR Raya (eid) Day. Thanks to Rozie, my neighbour, our 70 pieces of cupcakes is now ready for me to bring to the office! Fuhhhhh what a relief!

The cup cakes for your viewing only.... I am so so sorry.... no tasting on the web!

Big Day is near the corner!

My dear friends and family,

I would like to ask all of you, to pray for my health and safety, for me to undergo my final exam for this semester at my uni on 29th Oct and 2nd Nov 2007. Do wish me the best of luck ok.

Till the 2nd Nov is over, I have no intention to do Eid's open house, nor am I allowed to do Eid's visiting etc. (as my brain has temporary shut down the "socialising" chapter).

Coz I'm leaving, on the jet plane,
Don't know when I'll be back again,
Oh babe I have to go......

Housewife

A friend, Meen, reminded me of why I should consider to be a housewife. When I ponder on that idea, I realise the beauty & power in the word "housewife".

H - Home is never the same without her around
O - Only she knows where "everything" is!
U - Uniform is never their concern
S - Someone who is always there 24/7/365, no public holiday gazetted for them!
E - Empathise no matter with who, when, why, where, or what
W - Willingly doing multi-tasking!
I - In love with domestic affairs
F - Fun, tender and loving (TLC) - you can expect this from them lifetime
E - Every husband dream of having one!!!!!!

So to all housewife out there, keep up the excellent job!

Salhi Khaiessa is found!

My dear friends and concern readers from everywhere,

I am sorry for the late update. But my brother Salhi has been found early last month. We have brought him back safely to his former hospital. He's still undegoing his treatment. We don't know if he can join us for the Hari Raya Puasa i.e Eid Fitri.

For all the best wishes and Doa, on behalf of my family, we thanks each and everyone of you. May Allah blessed you all.

Kimi

He's missing again!!

Dear friends,

My brother is missing again!! Please pray for us to find him soon!!

Dear Brother, stay safe, we'll find you before, we'll find you again!

Note: To cut story short, my brother is sick in emotion, not capable of taking care of himself. We have been doing everything we can but.......

21 August 2007

HELLO - is it me you looking for??

Do you know that a simple HELLO can be a sweet one? Especially if you get a HELLO from your loved ones. HELLO is:

H= How are you?
E= Everything all right?
L= Like to hear from you
L = Love to see you soon..... (fellow blogger/friends that I used to have lunch dates with)
O = Obviously I miss you.......

So HELLO and have a good day!

ps: This is a sincere HELLO from me, for being so silent these days... so many things has happened in life that I just don't know where to begin, enough to say that - Nothing is more important than family!

Marriage - A short word and yet a big word

MARRIAGE - is it as simple as eating a piece of chewing gum?

M - Man is made for his woman
A - and a woman is made for his man
R - relationship that they have is so special that
R - regardless the "challenges" faced, they work to make it a permanent contract
I - it changes people's life, focus and energy
A - a reality that can be sweet or sour, joyfull or full of sorrow
G - get a good circle of supporters (family, friends and relatives) and
E - every minutes of MARRIAGE will be a treasure.

This dedication is to my newly wed sister, have a wonderful and blessful marriage!

A whole new world

A whole new world...... a world that I once dream to be in... and now I am in the dream world... yes, i like this world, i enjoy to be in this world and i know this world extract the best in me.....

BUT i miss blogging because of this world!

What I am trying to say is... i miss writing entries here... I owe a few people some tags - i think KuE, DNAS & Leilanie... friends, I apologise if ever I let you down... not intentionally done... will get it done!

And I think I need to explain to everyone why I was blocking my blog for sometimes now... I was disturbed with the fact that some personal information may be used by "the-cold-hearted-business-focus-people-in-this-world" against me and my family.

So I guess, I will have to change my direction of writing here... I will write for my friends... I will write about the world... I will write about religion maybe.. but no more about my family.... maybe just a touch base story, to keep "certain people abroad" posted about us..

To start with, this is a dedication to Rose, for the kind thought - I handed over her gift from CK and she gave me this in return:

Thank you Rose!

Decision Making

Making decision is never easy, especially when many things will be at stake if you mistakenly choose the wrong option! And now I am honestly in a deep deep thoughts of making a decision that could change my entire life... so in the midst of deciding, I realised that

D - defining what you want in life is very very important
E - experience is always the best way to learn
C - confide in people that you thrust ONLY
I - instinct is an internal guide for a human
S - silence is NOT an agreement
I - integrity is the key to lead a happy life now and here after
O - opportunity sometimes come only ONCE
N - no one is responsible for any decision or action that you take but YOURSELF

so all I am saying is.... whether I decide to DO or NOT TO DO, I just have to be prepared with the consequences of both outcomes!

Special Notes: Thank you to the FOC consultants who has helped me along the way in making my decision.... your kind understanding, willingness to listen, time spent... It is truly an honour to me to have been blessed with friends like you......

5 reasons why Kimi blog

Finally I have the time to answer to KuE’s tag… I cannot really recall why I blog but the truth is:

1. I started blog after being introduced to “blogging activity” by a dear friend Leilanie (thanks dear) – I began “blog hopping” to some of her favourite links and I feel “the writing spirit” in me blooms again… so that’s it!

2. And now I blog because there are many benefits out of it:- I can exchange ideas, learn something new everyday (from cooking, holiday right to politics), share some ups and down, learn from others experience (happy, sad or confusion) and also how to have fun!

3. I blog because I care to share.

4. I blog because I promise not to let myself being “caught up with life”, i.e just home-work-kids-work-home-kid and on and on…

5. I blog because my life is a story about myself, my family, my work, friends & special people who I care for n love...... so I want to make the most of it…

So yeah… those are my reasons……….

19 March 2007

Just what I am looking for!!

I had a really really challenging day today.. It all started with my youngest daughter throw up at 1 am this morning and I have to clean up, change the bed sheet etc… then at 5 am Adilah (my eldest) work us up with rashes all over her body… and she was scratching like a monkey! Adlina, my second, refused to wake up for her school after a week school break.

Reach the University late today, I had to drive around looking for parking. Then there was an argument in the morning class… a friend confronted the lecturer, talking about how disorganized he has been…and so we had a very tensed class!

Then come lunch time and I am tired…and hungry and my phone rang… an auntie is asking for help, to book a flight for her son – as if I own MAS! But again, no problem, I tried to help. After asking clarification on when the date is, how many passengers etc, I’ve up a booking complete with arrangement for wheel chair as my cousin is injured after an accident.

And guess what? They gave me wrong info… they want a flight this evening!! What do I get – “bla bla bla… can you get the booking changed?”… and that is when my phone give me the “BATTERY WEAK SIGNAL”… so I had no choice but to rush the conversation – asking them instead to make the changes… and then pop… my phone just died…

I was looking for phone booth and found one, and managed to call them back, and then I run out of coins, and no shop is selling phone cards anymore… I just had it… I knew my auntie is going to blow off any time soon… I had my Zohor prayer, and I tried to look for any friends who will lend me a phone… Kak Sha, you’re a life saver!

By the way, using Kak Sha’s phone, I managed to get through… but my auntie as expected, refused to talk to me. My injured cousin was on the line. I explain my self to him, that I was in uni etc etc… but NAHHHH of course it does not interest them… as I have FAILED TO ASSIST them in their opinion…

What else can I do? How should I feel or react? What about my time wasted… no studying, no library visit, gone all my plan for 3 hours gap between my lectures… I am just so frustrated, I had to write this out… my grammer may not be right.. I just don’t care. I know somehow my mom will get this “cold treatment” as well from her sister becaused I HAVED FAILED this time…. And gone all my good deeds all this while… I will just be remembered as “THAT COUSIN WHO WORK FOR AN AIRLINE WHO CANNOT EVEN ASSIT US WHEN WE NEED HELP”…

The truth is… I tried, honest to GOD… I know 7 habits says, “work with your circle of influence”… I tried and hence my conscience should be free but I still feel bad…WHY? WHY?

Kimi... calm down, it's now 2.30 pm and 2nd lecture is about to start now… focus focus focus!

Re-Decor for 2007

This is a promise long made to my Casa friends. Thanks to my hubby who is a very creative person compared to me, he has put his touch to re-design our home-sweet-home for 2007.

This is his master piece - the 'keladi' is 'making' their way on the blind (this blind is located on top of the swing, see more photos below).

This blind below is used to "cover" the openness between our house to the neighbours. So it creates the privacy yet keeps you looking very friendly with the neighbour!

After 'clearing' up my chester, this is what now left on the chester - REALLY THE NECESSARY only! hehehehe... can you see the feeding bottle??

The Dresser - after maximum 'minimisation' done to it..

The view of the tea-time corner in front of my house.. we use the "bidai" to cover the MPV carrier... since we don't have any store room that can fit in the carrier!

I am always pround of hubby's creativity. notice the "pangkir" a.k.a the wood planes for leisure seating - he made it himself, from our "broken bed"... he's gonna be angry if he knows I publish this photo... his comment was "semua nak tunjuk, bukan you yg buat pun".... Well, doesn't matter..... to me, I just want to show my appreciation of all his art work!

Hope that's enough to give some ideas to those who are looking for new year decoration to be done at home.. Let me know if you have any comment for me to improve okay! Thanks in advance for any view/opinion/comment.

It's your birthday girls!

As I have described in earlier posting, I have series of birthday to attend to in these coming jan-mar 2007. So let me start with the first birthday of the year:-

Adlina's 5th birthday on 9th Jan 2007

Adlina, baby Adriana and Adilah in action, enjoying the Blueberry Cheese cake!I did not bake her cake, as she wants a cheese cake... me no cheese-cake can bake! Looks like I have to attend Baking Class with NAH or KuE.

But because Adlina is so the "pumpkin"... everyone just want to celebrate her birthday again. so her grandpa (my hubby's dad) got her another cake:

Hmmm... so that of course create the stress to adilah, as she sees "favouritism" in place, despite me trying to explain to her the reason why Adlina got another cake is because the Grandpa insisted....so we decided to get her something special......

A Mini-reading-a-book for Adilah's 8th birthday on 03Feb07

Can you see how happy she was? And we had a surprise party for her at Bagan Lalang Beach Resort. Of course Adlina thinks it's always her birthday.... so "perasan" one.. how aaa??

More birthday to come - My brother's birthday on 2oth Jan 07 - yet to plan a belated b'day party for him... soon...

hey... maybe I should become a shareholder of secret recipe... what do you think?

07 January 2007

Starting the 2007....

I took a short break to do some spring cleaning before the new year commence. I hereby proudly displaying my "cleaning" results: (Yeah yeah... not as great as how other CASA IMPIAN look like but hey... at least I try... keeping in mind the safety & comfort of my three angels..)

And to end the year, as usual is the "big boss" a.k.a Hubby's birthday... so presenting his 32nd birthday cake... of course it's Secrect Recipe, his favourite!

What is this? My home-made chocolate cake, coated with chocolate cream, for both hubby and his younger sis, Asni who celebrated her 25th birthday on 31st Dec 2006... but big Big BIG BIG mistake... now everyone is demanding for home-made cake with icing too..... errr and mind you, I am just learning.. inspired by NAH!

And what is new year without firework... so here is ours - view is from my mother-in-law's room, compliment of IKEA/The Curve... I think, coz there was also firework from One-Utama side.... anyway, as long as the kids are happy and its FREE... I'm happy too!! Hehehe

And oh... I am now officially a student of UKM (National Univ of M'sia), doing my masters in Productivity & Quality... yaikkkkk.... weird huh?? Nahhhh... doesn't matter coz it's kind of cool to be back to school after I left uni in DEC 1996!!!

I shall check my sugar level, after I completed this list of birthday celebrations is over...
1. Adlina's (my 2nd girl) - 9 Jan
2. Salha's (my brother) - 20th Jan
2. Adilah's (my eldest girl) - 3rd feb
3. My mom-in-law - 8th Feb
4. My Sis In Law, Ain - 13th Feb
5. My sis in law - Azian - 2nd Mar
6. My baby adriana 2nd b'day - 4th mar
7. My father in Law - 14th Mar
8. My sis in law - Azidah - 15th mar

This list only cover the 1st quarter of the year 2007.... imagine the remaining of the year....!!
